"fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
~ Bruce Lee

"There were fewer competitions in the past and now it is often regarded as a sport not a martial art. It is an art, that's its beauty. The Budo philosophy must be understood."
~Kimura Sensei

"Karate-Do is a lifetime study."
~ Kenwa Mabuni

"My path in competition was initially solely driven by the need to express what I have learnt and ultimately to win trophies. Later on this desire would change in my career, this drive would be replaced by the need to perform to the best of my ability, win or lose. In the end it wasn’t enough just to win, it also mattered how I won."
~Wayne Otto OBE
